RE: WEB TYPE WILL SAVE US

I can't believe Zeldman blogged about TypeButter... I'm still in shock.

I just wanted to say how absolutely proud I am that the great Jeff Zeldman of zeldman.com wrote about TypeButter, a jQuery plugin that I developed in collaboration with designer/typographer Joel Richardson. I hope that one day, browsers will begin supporting optical kerning for the web but until that day comes… TypeButter! Read Zeldman’s article and check out TypeButter.com. For good measure, you should also check out another plugin I’ve developed called jQuery Bacon which allows you to align text to a bezier curve.

    Hi there,
I was very interested in including typebutter into my first website (it is still under development).
Somehow, I could not get it working. Now, I am almost a complete noob, but if I saw a good example of a webpage using tybebutter as it should be used, I could create a pretty good site for my college.
It would be great if you could put together a simple tutorial or just a basic example page to show off how it is used.
As far as I can tell, the typebutter website doesnot use the typebutter code as shown on the ‘How it Works’ section of the homepage.

  3. Hi David,

Finally got Type Butter up and running! Thanks for all your help. I put the post up here: http://www.blog.josephmueller.net/well-do-it-live. And I also have a link to a working .zip folder so it works out of the box.

    Have a good one,
    Joe
